ALL rafts, catarafts, and IKs must have approval prior to bringing the item to the shop. Email thepaddlehouse@gmail.com to start the process. Be prepared to provide photos of the item(s). ALL rafts, cataracts, and IK’s must be cleaned prior to bringing into the shop. Any boat brought in that requires us to clean it will be charged a $100 cleaning fee.

Consignment Item Requirements:
Gear must be high quality, operable, and in good repair. All apparel MUST be laundered before consigning - the Paddle House will not accept dirty or smelly consignment items. Repaired items that still have life left in them are also consignment worthy. Items with rips, tears, holes, or stains are not eligible to consign. A good way to get a feel of what we take in for consignment is to make a trip to the shop and check out the store!  We prefer brands typically sold in our store, as well as other popular brands that are favored by recreational paddlers & whitewater enthusiasts but are not opposed to taking in brands we have never seen. All gear regardless of the brand must be of outdoor technical nature and must be able to withstand the elements. Name-brand clothing such as Nike, Adidas, Under Armor, GAP, Banana Republic, Mosimo, etc. are not consigned at the Paddle House.
We consider condition, desirability, our inventory position, and current retail price when determining the value of an item. Within 48 hours of bringing in your used gear, we’ll assess the gear and current market value, then email you an honest and open assessment of what we think the value of the item is for resale. Subsequently, you’ll agree to the determined resale price or decline. If you decline the assessment, you must pick up your consignment gear within 48 hours.

Cash:
The Paddle House does NOT offer cash, up front, for used items. The only options for used gear are consignment for store credit or check.
